- ◎ We report on the synthesis of boron-doped carbon materials using acetylene
gas as a carbon precursor and diborane (B2H6) gas as a boron precursor by a
plasma arc torch method.
◎ Boron-doped carbon not only offers the opportunity to help in understanding
dopant-induced perturbations on physical properties, but such doping also
provides an opportunity to exploit their unique properties. Therefore, it is significant
to investigate further the effects of boron doping on the structure and
performance of carbon with higher capacity.
◎ In this study, various concentrations of boron-doped carbon materials were
synthesized and employed as active materials for energy storage device. The
effect of boron doping into plasma carbon is investigated in order to find the
relationship between its physicochemical properties changed and
